Gatorade was looking for ways to showcase their new branding as the “Sports
Fuel Company,” introduce athletic communities to their new Fuel product line,
and educate the consumer athlete on the prime, during, and recovery product
story. Driving retail sales was a high priority.

Our Solution

We developed and produced a Sports Skills Challenge with sports interactives, such as agility, soccer, baseball, basketball, football, and sprinting, linked in a course designed to make participants sweat. As consumer athletes wound their way through the course, they experienced the Gatorade product journey through education and sampling and also experienced how to use Gatorade to help fuel their performance. We deployed the tour to a series of community venues and retail locations over a one-month period.

Authenticity
We staged sampling in a sequence within the course to highlight and imprint the most effective way to consume products for optimal athletic performance. Knowledgeable event staff helped drive home the messaging in an organic way.

Sampling
Participants received high- quality and functional branded premiums with call- to-action coupons to drive traffic to a targeted retailer. We established and staffed sampling stations within the retail store to meet participants, continue the messaging, amplify sampling opportunities with new consumers, and drive sales.
